Dear reader,
it’s that time again: We are pleased to inform you about the latest developments at Time Shuttle with our current newsletter. First Class Service for all our friends and business partners. We hope you enjoy reading and wish you merry Christmas and a happy new year 2012!
Best regards from Aachen,
Your Time Shuttle-Team
Going green
All experts agree: CO2 emissions contribute to global warming! The Potsdam Institute for climate research announced that until 2020 emissions must necessarily be reduced, in order to have a real chance of impeding the increase in global temperature!
One reason more for Time Shuttle, to tie up to last year’s successful tree planting project. It is well known that trees absorb CO2 and produce oxygen. Apart from that optimal vehicle utilization and efficient route planning are fixedly implemented basic principles at Time Shuttle.
Since August 2011 Time Shuttle has moreover sourced one third of its electricity from an own small “power plant” on the roof of the Hammer Group in Aachen. A photovoltaic system with 5000 modules laid on 7000 m² generates approx. 500,000 kWh! We have not only achieved the output of a simple photovoltaic system on the roof; we are talking about a small power plant, by which the whole city of Eilendorf could completely be supplied with electricity”, said Tim Hammer (a.o. managing partner Time Shuttle).
Not only talking about environmental protection, but actively doing something against the global warming – that is the motto of Time Shuttle. This way Time Shuttle makes a contribution to international environmental standards. With these measures Time Shuttle is going green as regards environmental protection and is able to save additional costs in the long term. A better combination can hardly be found.

It is raining awards
In September and October 2011 Time Shuttle has been awarded even twice. With great pleasure we can proudly report on two awards.
In October Time Shuttle won the Supplier Award 2011 for indirect services and logistics of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
„The award fills us all with pride and proves our quality and our customer-oriented way of working for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications”, said Heiner Haller (Senior Manager Logistics Operations Time Shuttle).
In fact this performance is quite impressive. More than 600 guests were present on 27/9/2011 at the annual Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (SEMC) Supplier Conference in Malmö. The conference was opened by the SEMC President & CEO Bert Nordberg. Time Shuttle distinguished itself by extraordinary performances and won the Supplier Award 2011, handed over by Peter Carlsson (Head of Sourcing & Partner Management) and Tommi Laine-Ylijoki (Head of Operations SEMC). In future Time Shuttle would like to tie up to this success and set the benchmark for all other suppliers and act as a role model for customer oriented working by precisely adhering to just-in-time schedules. Not least these are the reasons for winning the award. The team feels honoured, nevertheless the motto is: we must not reduce our efforts, but now even more invest in quality and know-how, in order to be always well prepared for the future. By winning the award the long-standing partnership with SEMC, which has always been based on trust, was confirmed.
Moreover Time Shuttle has been an active member of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) for several years. Those who know the organisation and its objectives, have knowledge of the high safety requirements, which are to be fulfilled. Besides the already known Freight Security Requirements (FSR)-certification efforts have now been made, to achieve certification of transport and the corresponding safety equipment with Truck Security Requirements (TSR). Time Shuttle continuously supports the TAPA Organisation in development and updating work through its active participation in pilot projects. In September 2011 Time Shuttle could implement the latest TSR standard to fullest satisfaction and pass the audit successfully. Realization, implementation, commitment and training during the pilot project now won an award in recognition of the support rendered by Time Shuttle.

Time Shuttle goes East
Owing to a continuously increasing freight traffic volume, also Time Shuttle now attaches great importance to Eastern Europe. Besides the destinations Poland and Czech Republic the company has now also focussed on Slovakia. In the near future two more countries will be on the agenda.
For Time Shuttle Eastern Europe is a completely new terrain, however, with a very high potential. Time Shuttle will face the challenge and has already developed new concepts, which are specifically oriented to this growth market.

Donations for children
Time Shuttle wants to help fulfil children’s wishes! Therefore we decided to make an annual donation to AneaMoni.
AneaMoni is a non-profit organisation, which enables children to take horse-riding lessons, to perform various sports activities, to take private tuition, learning musical instruments as well as to attend dance classes. We are pleased about the successes of our sponsored children and about each of their letters of thanks.
These donations are investments in the future and it is a great pleasure to make children happy and to see their positive development.

Time Shuttle is adding staff!
Recently things have progressed quite a lot at Time Shuttle in the area of personnel development. Since August 2011 two new software developers add to the own IT-department of Time Shuttle. Not least Time Shuttle is known for quick implementation and realisation of new IT and EDP-requirements of customers. Software solutions based on processes and especially developed for them have been created by Time Shuttle and implemented without problem. With own software developers Time Shuttle quite easily faces new IT-challenges.
Also the area quality & security breathes fresh air. Since recently the department has been supported by Henrik Poll. Now this area is in addition viewed from another angle and new ideas and know-how are provided.
In October 2011 Time Shuttle introduced the area marketing & sales. New marketing concepts in connection with sales development are now on Time Shuttle’s agenda. Christine Gerdt dedicates her attention to this area and started with the Time Shuttle page on Facebook, Xing&LinkedIn.
Hanno Brandes, managing director of the strategy consultants Management Engineers, Düsseldorf, thinks that networking creates new creative spaces, in which ideas are not only added, but even multiplied! Economy is always in motion; therefore Time Shuttle again and again sets up new business segments in the company and thus lays the foundation stone for a positive company development. On this subject the Handelsblatt wrote that only a cross-over of knowledge and know-how allows integrated problem solutions.
